Bovet Dimier is a line from the Swiss brand Bovet built on the principles of classic watch architecture: a case with four lugs and the crown at 3 o'clock. It is based on movements from the Dimier 1738 manufacture in Tramelan. Unlike its sibling Bovet Fleurier, with its convertible Amadeo case and crown at 12 o'clock, Dimier has a conventional fit: the watch slips easily under the cuff of a business suit.
Inside is complex mechanics: some models in the line feature a double-sided tourbillon. Cases come in 18-carat gold, platinum and titanium.
One example is the Collection Dimier Recital 15, a men's watch from a limited series of 100 pieces in a 42 mm case of 18-carat pink gold. It tells the time in its own way: the hour jumps in an aperture, while the minutes are counted by a retrograde hand on a subdial shifted to the right. On the left are the power-reserve indicator and seconds hand.
