H. Moser & Cie Venturer

Venturer is the line of classic dress watches from H. Moser & Cie, an independent Swiss manufacture from Schaffhausen. The line reinterprets the brand's historic pocket watches. Its silhouette is defined by a tall domed sapphire crystal that flows into a narrow stepped bezel, so the dial reads well from any angle.

The case alternates polished and satin-finished surfaces, with concave recesses on the flanks. The Small Seconds model has an in-house hand-wound calibre with a Straumann balance spring. Its power reserve indicator is placed on the movement side and visible through the sapphire caseback, so the front stays clean and the rotorless movement is fully on view. The line also includes self-winding models, so check the movement of each particular watch.

H. Moser & Cie Venturer watches are chosen by metal, dial and size. The signature fumé dials have a gradient shift in tone and a sunburst finish. The Concept versions have neither logo nor hour markers, leaving only the gradient and the hands on the dial.
