Trilobe Nuit Fantastique

The Nuit Fantastique collection from the independent French maison Trilobe is an architectural rethinking of the way time is displayed. Instead of conventional hands, the concept is built on three rotating rings — for hours, minutes and seconds. Compared with the brand's first line, Nuit Fantastique has a more rigorous, geometric dial with contrasting textures: a grained background and a Clous de Paris pattern on the seconds disc, which together with the minute ring forms a figure of eight.

The collection is powered by the brand's own automatic calibre with a micro-rotor, developed with the avant-garde designer Jean-François Mojon. The micro-rotor keeps the case slim without compromising winding efficiency. Cases are made in grade 5 titanium with a combination of satin and polished finishes, or in 18 ct rose gold.

Nuit Fantastique has established itself as an alternative to the familiar Swiss icons — a watch for collectors and connoisseurs of independent watchmaking looking for a restrained yet recognisable style. Thanks to the carefully balanced ergonomics of the case, it pairs well with a business suit or business casual and slips easily under a shirt cuff.
