Tudor Black Bay

ABOUT COLLECTION

The Black Bay is a Tudor line that grew out of the brand's diving watches and was introduced in 2012. It brings features of Tudor's divers from the 1950s to the 1970s into a modern Swiss watch: a domed sapphire crystal, a large crown without crown guards and Snowflake hands, whose geometry was taken from late-1960s models.

Within the collection, Tudor Black Bay watches differ above all in bezel and function — the main factors when choosing. The classic Black Bay diver (reference 79230B-0008) has a rotating blue aluminium bezel and a matt black dial. The Black Bay 41mm is a three-hander with a plain steel bezel without insert and a blue dial. The Black Bay Pro adds a second time zone, with a fixed steel bezel bearing a 24-hour scale and a yellow Snowflake GMT hand. The Black Bay Chrono White Panda Dial is a chronograph with an opaline "panda" dial, black sub-dials and a tachymeter scale.

Cases are in stainless steel and bronze, from 39 to 43 mm in diameter. The Heritage Black Bay Bronze with a brown dial is made of an aluminium-bronze alloy: over time the metal develops a patina, so each piece takes on its own character.

Several parts of the family have their own pages: the Black Bay Fifty-Eight (Black Bay 58), the Black Bay Chrono chronographs, the Black Bay GMT and the Heritage Black Bay models. This page brings together the collection as a whole.
