The Breguet Marine II Big Date Steel (ref. 5817ST/12/SM0) is a men's sports watch with a 39 mm round case in stainless steel. It has a silver dial under sapphire crystal.
It is powered by the self-winding mechanical calibre 517GG with a power reserve of 65 hours. Functions: Date. Water-resistant to 100 m. The watch is fitted with a Breguet Marine Stainless Steel bracelet with a folding clasp in steel.
This example is brand new, and comes with the original box and papers.
Automatic caliber Breguet 517GG has an integrated big date module with a two-disc display. The winding rotor is 18-carat gold, decorated with hand guilloché.

Breguet was founded in Paris in 1775 by Abraham-Louis Breguet, one of the most influential watchmakers in history. He is credited with the tourbillon, patented in 1801, as well as the Breguet overcoil and the self-winding perpétuelle watch. Many of the house's design codes, such as Breguet hands, hand-turned guilloché dials and fluted case bands, go back to his workshop. The manufacture is now in the Vallée de Joux and belongs to the Swatch Group.
