The Rolex Explorer 36 mm (ref. 124270) is a sports watch with a 36 mm round case in stainless steel. It has a black dial under sapphire crystal.
It is powered by the self-winding mechanical calibre 3230 with a power reserve of up to 70 hours. Features: Central seconds, chromalight luminescent markers, smooth bezel, screw-down crown, easylink links. Water-resistant to 100 m. The watch is fitted with an Oyster bracelet with an Oysterlock in steel.
The Rolex 3230 caliber was developed by the manufacture and has a Chronergy escapement in nickel-phosphorus alloy and a blue Parachrom hairspring. It offers improved resistance to magnetic fields and a precision of -2/+2 seconds per day.
