The Patek Philippe Nautilus Blue Dial (ref. 5711/1A-001) is a men's sports watch with a 40 mm octagonal case in stainless steel. The dial is protected by sapphire crystal.
It is powered by the self-winding mechanical calibre 315 S C with a power reserve of 48 hours. Functions: Date. Water-resistant to 120 m. The watch is fitted with an integrated steel nautilus bracelet with a folding clasp in steel.
This example is brand new, and comes with the original box and papers.
In-house caliber 315 S C has a 22K gold winding rotor and the patented Gyromax balance. It bears the Geneva Seal (Poinçon de Genève) and runs at 21,600 vibrations per hour.

Patek Philippe was founded in Geneva in 1839 by Antoine Norbert de Patek and François Czapek; the watchmaker Adrien Philippe joined Patek in 1845, and the firm took its current name in 1851. Still independent and family-owned, the manufacture is known for hand-finished movements and for complications such as perpetual calendars, minute repeaters and astronomical displays.
Key collections include the Calatrava, the classic round dress watch; the Nautilus, the steel sports watch designed by Gérald Genta in 1976; the Aquanaut; and the Grand Complications, which include models such as the Sky Moon Celestial. Ladies' watches, the Golden Ellipse and the Gondolo are also part of the catalogue.
