Bvlgari Aluminium

ABOUT COLLECTION

Aluminium is the sports watch line from Bvlgari, introduced by the Italian brand in 1998. An aluminium case and a rubber bezel were unusual materials for fine watchmaking at the time. The double engraving of the brand name on the bezel was inherited from the Diagono. The first generation was mainly quartz, and in 2020 Aluminium was relaunched with automatic movements.

The 40 mm case of the current models is made of 6082 aluminium alloy, as used in the aerospace industry. The caseback and crown are titanium with a dark coating, while the bezel and bracelet are FKM rubber, the bracelet assembled with aluminium links.

Since the relaunch the line has used three automatic calibres with a 42-hour power reserve: B77 in the basic date model, B130 in the chronograph and B192, with a second time zone indicator, in the GMT model introduced in 2021. The summer 2024 release included the Bvlgari Aluminium Black GMT, with the upper half of the hour scale in black and the lower half in red, and the Smeraldo chronograph with a dial graduating from white to green. An all-white B77 model from the same release was limited to 1,000 pieces.

Other models include the Bvlgari Aluminium Smeraldo Watch and Smeraldo Watch Special Edition chronographs, and the quartz Diagono Aluminium with a black carbon dial.
