IWC Pilot's Watches

ABOUT COLLECTION

Pilot's Watches is the line of pilot's watches from IWC Schaffhausen, the Swiss manufacture from Schaffhausen. The pilot's models resemble a cockpit instrument: large Arabic numerals, high-contrast hands and luminescent markers, a triangular index at 12 o'clock and a large crown that is easy to turn in gloves. The second hallmark of the line is a soft-iron inner case that protects the movement from magnetic fields; it is fitted to almost all models.

Within the line, the version is chosen first of all by function. The three-hand Pilot Mark XVIII Stainless Steel 40mm with date is an everyday watch that slips under a shirt cuff. Chronographs with day and date include the Pilot's Watch Chronograph Edition Le Petit Prince and versions in the colours of the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One™ Team, in steel and titanium. The split-seconds chronograph appears in the Pilot's Watch Doppelchronograph Stainless Steel and the Top Gun in black ceramic. The Big Pilot's Automatic White Gold shows the power reserve, and the Saint Exupéry UTC Pilot's White Gold Automatic a second time zone for travel.

Cases are made of stainless steel, titanium, ceramic and white gold. Straps are leather, rubber and canvas. All models are men's watches. Further IWC pilot's models are found in the neighbouring Pilot's Watch and Big Pilot's Watch collections.
