Galet is the line of classic watches from Laurent Ferrier, the independent Swiss brand of watchmaker Laurent Ferrier. The name is French for "pebble". The case has no sharp corners or edges, its lines are smooth, and together with the onion crown it recalls 19th-century pocket watches.
A representative model is the Laurent Ferrier Galet Annual Calendar in the Montre École case. The day of the week and the month appear in two windows at the top of the dial, the date is shown by a central hand on a scale around the edge, and the small seconds sit at 6 o'clock. The hands are the brand's signature Assegai shape. Inside is the hand-wound calibre LF126.01, developed in the brand's own workshops; its finishing can be seen through the sapphire caseback.
Within the line, watches are chosen by case material, dial colour and strap. The Galet is made in both gold and steel. One example is in stainless steel with a matte blue dial, a blue leather strap and a steel buckle — the École Annual Calendar Steel Blue Piece Unique 40 mm, reference LCF025, from 2023.
The brand's other lines are Grand Sport and Grand Sport Tourbillon.
