Patek Philippe still produces a small number of pocket watches each year, continuing a tradition that dates back to the company's founding in 1839. They come in two classic forms: the hunter (savonnette), whose dial is protected by a hinged cover, and the open-faced Lépine.
The cases are made in gold or platinum and are often decorated with hand engraving or enamel, and some house complications such as minute repeaters or tourbillons.
