TAG Heuer Carrera

ABOUT COLLECTION

The TAG Heuer Carrera is the brand's racing line. Jack Heuer released the first Carrera chronograph in 1963 and named it after the Carrera Panamericana road race in Mexico. Designed for motorsport, it had to be readable at a glance: a clean dial with crisp markings, recessed chronograph sub-dials and faceted lugs. These features are still recognisable in today's models.

Over time the Carrera grew from a racing chronograph into a versatile line, including chronographs — some with in-house calibres — and three-hand watches for everyday wear. The collection includes Swiss mechanical chronographs of various types. The Carrera Re-Edition 1964 Lemania is a hand-wound reissue of the 1964 model. The Carrera Chronograph Tachymeter is a classic self-winding chronograph with date. The Carrera Calibre HEUER02T Chronograph Tourbillon is an in-house chronograph with a tourbillon.

The choice starts with the movement: manual winding for those who enjoy winding their watch, automatic for carefree daily wear. Then comes case size (36 to 45 mm), material — steel or titanium — and the bracelet or strap: steel, leather or rubber. Each listing gives the reference, calibre and power reserve.
