Breitling Endurance

ABOUT COLLECTION

The Endurance Pro is a lightweight sports chronograph from Breitling with a case made of Breitlight composite. The line was released in 2020 for professional athletes and people with an active lifestyle. The manufacturer places it within the Professional collection, which has its own page, Breitling Professional.

Breitlight is the brand's proprietary polymer composite. It is 3.3 times lighter than titanium and 5.8 times lighter than stainless steel, heat-resistant and has low magnetic susceptibility. The rubber strap's buckle is made of the same material. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides, and some versions have a screw-down caseback. All the models covered here measure 44 mm.

Inside is the thermocompensated Breitling calibre 82 using SuperQuartz technology, which shows the date as well as the chronograph. The outer bezel rotates in both directions and is marked with the compass points, while the inner flange carries a pulsometer scale. The hands and markers are coated with Super-LumiNova, and the large Arabic numerals can be read on the run.

All the models are men's watches with the same size and calibre, so the choice comes down to colour. Almost all have a black dial, and the character comes from the rubber strap and matching inner flange. The Endurance Pro White has a white strap, the Endurance Pro Breitlight Yellow a yellow one, the Endurance Pro Breitlight® Orange an orange one; there are also blue, green and black versions. A separate group is linked to the IRONMAN triathlon. The Endurance Pro Ironman® has a red dial graduating to black at the edge and the race logo at 6 o'clock, while the Endurance Pro Breitlight® Black Ironman Finisher has a black dial with the IRONMAN logo at the bottom. The number 44 in some model names refers to the same diameter, not a different size.
