Cartier Declaration is a line of jewellery watches from the Parisian house of Cartier, introduced in the early 2000s. Instead of a fixed case, it has a flexible structure of parallel rails. Rings and beads slide along them, and the wearer decides whether to reveal the small dial in full or partly hide it.
The series is built on a contrast of materials: titanium is combined with white, pink and yellow gold, and in jewellery versions the rings are set with diamonds. Titanium parts make the case-bracelet lighter. A compact Cartier quartz calibre keeps the watch as thin as possible and needs no winding. When choosing within the line, the main points are the combination of metals and whether the rings are diamond-set.
One example is a Declaration in 18-carat white gold with a mother-of-pearl dial, blued steel hands, Cartier Calibre 056 and moving elements in white gold.
