F.P. Journe LineSport

ABOUT COLLECTION

LineSport is the sports line of F.P. Journe, the independent manufacture of François-Paul Journe. It was introduced in 2011. The idea is to give the brand's complex movements a light case and an integrated bracelet so that the watches can be worn every day. The first LineSport watches were made of aluminium alloy — not only the case but even the movement's mainplate and bridges. The case later moved to titanium.

There are two types of movement. The automatic models are based on calibre 1300.3 from the Octa family, with a large date, power-reserve indicator, day/night indicator and small seconds — as in the Linesport Automatique Réserve Calibre 1300.3, Sport Titanium Bracelet Yellow and Titanium 2021. The chronographs are hand-wound. The Centigraphe Sport Titanium 2021 measures hundredths of a second, and the Linesport Chronographe Monopoussoir Rattrapante is a single-pusher split-seconds chronograph.

Within LineSport, it is worth choosing on three points:

  • Functions. An automatic calendar with power reserve, or a hand-wound chronograph.
  • Case size and material. Men's models in 42 and 44 mm titanium cases; the Centigraphe Sport has PVD/DLC-coated titanium.
  • Condition and set. New or pre-owned, with box and papers or papers only.

Each product page lists the reference, calibre, movement, case size and material, sapphire crystal, water resistance, power reserve and, for most models, dial colour.
