Graham Chronofighter

ABOUT COLLECTION

Chronofighter is the chronograph line from Graham, an independent company that makes its watches in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. The collection is recognised by the trigger lever on the left side of the case. The first watches appeared in 2001, inspired by the bomb timers of military aviation in the 1930s and 1940s. These timers were worn on the wrist by the crew members who released the bombs, and a large lever was fitted directly over the timer pusher so it could be operated in thick gloves.

The lever starts and stops the chronograph, while the reset has its own pusher. The crown sits on the same left side: the lever covers it together with the reset pusher, so nothing digs into the wrist when worn on the left hand. The brand patented the lever design.

The first model had a 43 mm case; in 2006 the larger Chronofighter Oversize followed, at 47 mm. Later the collection gained more complicated versions and models in other materials. Within the line, it is easiest to choose by case size, material and functions.

The models include men's chronographs in 43, 46 and 47 mm cases in stainless steel and rose gold: the core Chronofighter, Oversize versions with a second time zone and big date, and a chronograph with a tourbillon.
