Silverstone Stowe is a sports watch line from the Swiss brand Graham, conceived as a tribute to motor racing: it takes its name from Stowe corner at the British Silverstone circuit. The brand has related collections, Silverstone and Silverstone RS.
Graham Silverstone Stowe watches are men's chronographs in 48 mm stainless steel cases with a black coating: PVD on the Silverstone Stowe Racing, DLC on the Silverstone Stowe Classic Gold. The woven carbon-fibre dial carries luminescent markers, and a tachymeter scale is used to measure speed. The rubber strap has a tyre-tread pattern, and the steel buckle has the same coating as the case.
The versions differ in movement and functions. The Racing uses calibre G1742, based on the Valjoux 7750: a chronograph with date, a contrasting yellow scale on the dial and a black and yellow strap. The Classic Gold has Graham Calibre G1721, based on the Valjoux 7754. To the chronograph with 30-minute counter and date it adds a second time zone, shown by a central GMT hand with a gold-bronze outline. Both calibres run at 28,800 vibrations per hour.
Within the line it is easiest to choose by function. For frequent travel across time zones the Classic Gold is the better fit; for a pure racing chronograph, the Racing.
