Jaeger-LeCoultre Rendez-Vous

ABOUT COLLECTION

Rendez-Vous is the line of ladies' watches from the Swiss manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre, introduced in 2012. From the outset it was developed as an independent line of complicated mechanics, rather than by scaling down men's cases for a slim wrist. The Rendez-Vous is easy to recognise by its round case with softly curved lugs and floral-style Arabic numerals.

Versions within the line differ first of all in their complications. The Night & Day shows the time of day, the Moon shows moon phases; there are also models with an audible reminder function and with a tourbillon. Dials are finished with hand guilloché and mother-of-pearl, the hands are blued and sword-shaped, and bezels are traditionally set with round brilliant-cut diamonds. Inside are slim in-house automatic calibres, visible through a sapphire caseback. Cases are made of steel, rose gold and white gold.

It is easiest to choose step by step: first the complication, then the metal and case size, then the decoration — with or without diamonds, mother-of-pearl or guilloché. The steel models suit an office dress code and work as everyday wristwatches.

One example is the Rendez-Vous Moon in white gold, with diamonds on the bezel and lugs and a guilloché mother-of-pearl dial with Arabic numerals.
