Luminor Marina watches are made by the Italian brand Panerai, which supplied watches to the Italian Navy until 1970 and presented its first civilian collection in 1993, comprising the Luminor and Luminor Marina. Unlike the Luminor Base, which shows only the hours and minutes, the Luminor Marina has small seconds at 9 o'clock, and many references add a date window. Other models in the line belong to the Panerai Luminor collection.
The Luminor Marina is recognisable by its cushion case and the patented lever bridge over the crown – a feature that Panerai Radiomir watches do not have.
The key choices are movement generation, case size and material. Production years range from 1999 to 2024, from early generations to current ones. The main size is 44 mm, alongside the 40 mm Luminor Quaranta and the 42 mm Luminor Due.
