Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Concept is the experimental branch of the Royal Oak collection. Here the Swiss manufacture Audemars Piguet houses complex movements — tourbillons, chronographs, a second time zone — in cases of titanium, ceramic and other technical materials. The brand showed the first watch in the line in 2002, for the Royal Oak's 30th anniversary.

A representative model is the men's Royal Oak Concept GMT Tourbillon 44 mm, reference 26560IO.OO.D002CA.01. The 44 mm case is titanium, the bezel black ceramic. The dial is skeletonised, leaving the movement open to view: bridges with a black PVD coating and matt edges, the tourbillon carriage at 9 o'clock and the second time zone disc at 3 o'clock.

Within the line, watches are chosen first by complication — tourbillon, chronograph or second time zone — then by case material and size, and finally by the condition and accessories of the individual piece.
