Hublot King Power

ABOUT COLLECTION

King Power is a line of large sports chronographs from the Swiss brand Hublot. It is built on the brand's Art of Fusion idea — combining different materials in one case — and was conceived as a larger, more industrial branch of the Big Bang.

The King Power case is composite. The bezel is held by six H-shaped screws, the flanks are covered with composite inserts and the strap is built into the case. The models are men's watches with a 48 mm case. Materials vary: titanium, steel, zirconium, black ceramic and King Gold, the brand's own rose gold alloy. The football versions and the King Power F1 have ceramic bezels. The crystal is sapphire throughout. Straps are rubber, on some models combined with canvas.

These are mechanical chronographs with a 42-hour power reserve. The football models — King Power Maradona Limited Edition, Red Devil Manchester United and UEFA Euro 2012 — use the self-winding calibre HUB4245, whose central 45-minute counter times a half of football. Also self-winding are calibre HUB4100 in the King Power F1 and HUB 44 RTF in the Foudroyante. The King Power 48mm Manufacture Tourbillon combines a tourbillon with a split-seconds chronograph: its calibre HUB6300 consists of 269 parts. A separate branch is the King Power Unico on the in-house Unico calibre, a flyback chronograph with the column wheel on the dial side.

Within the line, the choice is made by case material, movement (chronograph, split-seconds chronograph or tourbillon), condition and accessories.
