Blancpain L-Evolution

L-Evolution is the sporty, technical line from Blancpain, a brand whose history goes back to 1735. It combines classic mechanics with materials from motor racing: cases in satin-brushed titanium with carbon, in steel and in pink gold, three-dimensional multi-level dials and a transparent caseback that reveals the manufacture calibre.

The versions differ above all in function. The L-Evolution Chronographe Flyback is the Super Trofeo version: titanium, carbon dial and lugs, red accents and a flyback chronograph. The L-Evolution R Grande Date is also titanium with a carbon dial, but has a large date instead of a chronograph. The L Evolution Semainier Grande Date 8 Days 43mm has a steel case with a stepped bezel and crown guards, Côtes de Genève at the centre of the dial, a large date and the week number. Pink gold and a blue guilloché dial feature on the Half Hunter Rose Gold Blue Dial 39 mm, with annual calendar and moon phases.

It is easiest to choose by purpose: the Chronographe Flyback for timing, the R Grande Date or Semainier for a large everyday date, the Half Hunter for a calendar in gold. Titanium with carbon is chosen for its lighter weight.
