Richard Mille RM 005

ABOUT COLLECTION

The Richard Mille RM 005 was the brand's first automatic watch. This line established the features by which the brand is still recognised today: a curved tonneau case following the line of the wrist, a skeletonised movement beneath a transparent dial, and technical materials in the calibre itself.

The line rests on three design solutions. The three-part case is assembled with titanium spline screws, with satin-finished surfaces combined with polished bevels. The automatic RM 005 calibre is built on a baseplate and bridges in black PVD-coated Grade 5 titanium. A patented variable-geometry rotor allows the automatic winding to be adjusted to how active the owner is during the day.

Within the line, the choice is first about case metal: the RM 005 was made in titanium, rose gold and white gold. One example is the White Gold version on a black leather strap.
