The Richard Mille RM 33-02 is a round, ultra-thin automatic watch. As the brand is known above all for its tonneau cases, a round model is a rarity in its range. The RM 33-02 was introduced in December 2019 and continues the round RM 033; the first version has its own page, Richard Mille RM 33.
The 41.7 mm case is made of Carbon TPT composite and 18-carat rose gold, held together with titanium spline screws. The strap attachment is integrated into the case, with no separate lugs, so the watch sits close to the wrist. The strap is black rubber with a rose gold and titanium clasp. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides.
Inside is the ultra-thin skeletonised RMXP1 calibre. The baseplate and bridges are black PVD-coated Grade 5 titanium. The movement is wound by an off-centre platinum micro-rotor. With no central rotor, the movement stays flat, and its wheels are visible through the skeletonised dial.
The RM 33-02 is chosen piece by piece: condition, completeness of set and strap. One example is the Automatic Limited Edition in Carbon TPT and rose gold.
