Richard Mille RM 023

The Richard Mille RM 023 is an automatic watch in a tonneau case of medium proportions. The tonneau is Richard Mille's signature shape; in the RM 023 it comes without excess bulk, so the watch slips under a shirt cuff and suits everyday wear.

The dial is transparent sapphire with an asymmetric arrangement of Roman numerals, revealing the skeletonised movement beneath. The RM 023 TI uses the automatic RMA02 calibre, with a baseplate and bridges in black PVD-coated Grade 5 titanium. The three-part case is closed by a transparent caseback with an anatomical curve, so the watch sits snugly on the wrist.

The main choice is the case material. The RM 023 was produced in titanium, white gold and rose gold, as well as in jewellery versions with diamonds on the bezel or across the entire case. Titanium is lighter; gold is heavier and more noticeable on the wrist. Next come the stone setting, condition and completeness of set – box and papers.
